Feb 3

February 3rd, 2017 at 07:17 pm

{deleted the work situation}

In actual financial news, I spent a record low of $238 on groceries in January. Coupled with $62 cash in restaurant eating, I spent $300 on food. I'm still busy eating down my pantry and freezer.

Another record low? $48 in gasoline. February may be slightly higher, since I'm taking a community ed class. All in all, I feel good about January, and aspire to make February even more frugal.

    I wouldn't let anyone tear down your bridges buddy. You're in charge of your life and the decisions you make. Press on!

    While reading your post, I wondered why your coworker would do this...is this person your supervisor? Or maybe there's some jealousy there and wanted to tear you down.

    Amazing on your low spending on groceries and gas! Good job!

    Thanks LuckyJB! You're right.

    rob62521 - It's a complicated hierarchy but she is not my supervisor. I sometimes help her with projects. Thanks for the kudos!

    I know how you feel! Different issue, same questioning by someone who thinks they are more righteous. (She accused me of taking advantage of my boss, I will write more in my post later on today). When it all comes down to it if you believe you have done the right thing mentally tell her where to go and steer clear of her. You don't answer to her and the promotion you have gotten is proof you're doing something right! Keep up the good work.

    Don't let her get you down. Obivously you are doing a good job if you earned a promotion in less than a year.

    I made my December gas budget last through January and i still have $30 left. Always nice.

    VS_ozgirl - I'm sorry you're dealing with drama! Good advice!

    Kiki - Thanks, and great job!
