Last night I stopped by Costco to fill up my gas tank ($22) and decided to go inside for a few staple groceries too ($16) - cauliflower to make aloo gobi, kale salad, bagels, and bananas. I resisted the delicious snack aisle and stuck to basics.

The rest of the month should stay on budget. I've only eaten out twice this month and don't expect to again, unless my coworker really does want to go out for lunch on Friday (we'll see). If so, I've already got cash for just such an occasion.

I've had this blog for so long that I know there are people in my real life (read: my ex) who know of its existence. How do you handle that? I find that I don't want to say much on the off-chance that someone IRL (not from this site) might be reading.

    Only $16 spent at Costco has got to be a new world record!

    I've given my blog out to so many IRL people I can't even remember who anymore. Doubt any of them read it, but I just make sure I'd be willing to own up to anything I said if confronted by it in real life. Which means I do criticize people or mention negative situations, but I try not to be petty or mean about it.

    ceejay74 - Ha, thanks, I had to make an effort to spend that little!
    It's not that I want to bash anyone - more that I don't really want certain individuals to have a window into my daily life anymore, since I don't speak to them.

    Oh right, I see. Yeah, I haven't stopped contact with anyone I gave the URL to -- that is its own problem, huh? I've managed to figure out (at least some of) the people who have started new blogs. An oblique reference dropped into their entries here and there, and I picked up on it.

    I agree with ceejay, some of us have been able to figure out who is who over the course of time if they don't make it directly known.
